Risks
Read this before depositing. Nothing on this site is investment advice. Each pool's current state is shown on its page.
1
Token price risk
Your position holds the two tokens of the pair (for example, the token and USDG). If the token falls, your position loses value, roughly like holding it. Bins that follow the market keep you earning, but they do not protect against price moves. Ecosystem tokens in particular are young and volatile: moves of 20–30% in a day happen.
2
Stop-loss can pause one direction
Each pool has a stop-loss of 15% per bin. After a large move it blocks the direction that would keep trading into the move (for example, buying the token after a sharp drop) until its watermark decays, at 15% per day. Small trades near the reference may still go through. The other direction and withdrawals keep working.
3
Wider spreads during fast moves
When the market moves faster than the provider treats as normal, spreads widen until it catches up, and the pool gets less flow for a while. A keeper nudges the provider forward when needed. See why Jengev (step 4).
4
Fewer venues, less cross-checking
Some tokens trade on only one meaningful venue. The provider cannot cross-check that price against another venue and relies on its speed limits instead.
5
Hook taxes can change
Some tokens tax buys or sells through a Uniswap v4 hook. The provider uses the tax measured when it was deployed. If the token changes its tax, quotes can be slightly off until the provider is replaced.
6
Shown as “High Risk” on Metric
Metric labels pools with a custom, unverified provider and a curator that is not yet verified as High Risk. The source code is not published. The curator verification has been applied for.
7
Small and individually run
These pools are run by an individual curator and start small. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.
8
Smart contract risk
The provider was self-audited, not externally audited. Metric's own contracts and extensions carry their own risk.
What always works
Withdrawals work in every state, including when the provider pauses quoting or the stop-loss blocks a direction.
